Human remains found inside a crocodile in Australia believed to be that of a 40-year-old tourist

Police said Tuesday human remains were found inside a large crocodile suspected of killing a tourist in Australia’s second fatal attack in about a month.
The latest victim was 40-year-old doctor Dave Hogbin who fell from a steep bank Saturday into the Annan River south of Cooktown in Queensland state, his family said in a statement. The general practice doctor from Newcastle in New South Wales had been traveling on a camping vacation through Queensland with his wife Jane Hogbin and their three sons aged 2, 5 and 7 years.

Bill Hilts, Jr.: Third annual tournament by Catching Dreams Charters makes “reel impact” for kids with cancer

Capt. Ned Librock of Catching Dreams Charters has been taking kids with cancer fishing in the productive waters of New York State for nearly a decade now.
On August 2, he made more kids happy as he held the Third Annual Reel Impact Tournament to benefit his Catching Dreams initiative and help support the program through sponsor boats in the lower Niagara River. This time around, 15 area charter captains helped the cause by taking sponsors and their guests on the water. There were a few special kids accompanying sponsoring teams, too.
In the end, it was an outstanding day of fishing and fun as some 236 fish were caught in 4 hours.

Backyard and Beyond: A spotty story

Most white-tailed deer fawns are nearly three months old at this point in the summer and are weaned and eating grasses and soft vegetation.
They and their mothers have rejoined the herd, but the youngsters retain their spotted coats, at least for a few more weeks. You might astonish your kids by asking them to guess how many spots a fawn has.

Green Beret brings his dog-handling skills to Game Fair in Minnesota

Ian Donovan is driven by patriotism to serve and defend the United States, and that’s what motivated him to leave his job as a roughneck on Gulf of Mexico oil rigs and become a Green Beret in the U.S. Army Special Forces.
He is also driven by a love of dogs and dog training. What began in his childhood – raising and training hunting dogs – resulted in managing dogs for the Army during six deployments. Dog training continues to this day, now as an expert working with a dog food company.
