In Bemidji, Minnesota, one family’s reunion is a fishing tournament

Fishing has always been an important part of life for Kevin Enerson, of Bemidji, Minn. and for many members of his extended family. During the course of a year, the individual family groups will fish a local lake when they can find the time, but jobs, kids, and activities sometimes seem to limit those opportunities.

It was once thought turkeys would not survive the extreme cold and heavy snow of northern Minnesota. Half a century later, it’s apparent that those fears were unwarranted.
