Michigan hunters can report grouse, woodcock activity online

Just in time for Michigan’s ruffed grouse and American woodcock hunting seasons, hunters now have a new way to share information from their hunts.
The Michigan DNR has launched the Michigan Ruffed Grouse and Woodcock Dashboard, an electronic survey dashboard where hunters can report the number of grouse and woodcock they flush during trips afield.

Wisconsin DNR increases monitoring and response efforts for invasive round goby in Winnebago System

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources announced that additional monitoring and response efforts will be taken to address increased reports of invasive round gobies in the Winnebago System.
After an angler reported a sighting of round goby in June, the DNR has confirmed the presence of round goby in Lake Winnebago near the Bowen Street Fishing Pier. Round gobies can displace native fish populations and have the potential to impact Lake Winnebago’s sport fish and panfish species through competition for prey and by eating their eggs.

Deer bag limits could be reduced in three Ohio counties hit hardest by EHD

The Ohio DNR (ODNR) Division of Wildlife proposed reducing the white-tailed deer bag limit in Athens, Meigs, and Washington counties from three deer to two in response to an unprecedented outbreak of Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD) in these locations.
If approved by the Ohio Wildlife Council, the proposed bag limit reduction would take effect on Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, coinciding with opening day of the seven-day deer gun season.
