Minnesota’s Pro Fishing Tip of the Week: Slow or fast best for early walleyes?

Walleye season begins this weekend, and where to start fishing and what to use are the big questions for anglers. Be versatile and mobile. Start shallow and move deeper as the day progresses. Rocky points and breaks and weeds edges can be good, too.

Recent rains welcomed by waterfowl in Minnesota, the Dakotas

What a difference a few weeks make.
In late March, the talk among waterfowl professionals across the U.S. Prairie Pothole Region – the epicenter of duck production in Minnesota, the Dakotas, and parts of Montana – revolved around one word: drought. Tom Venesky: Hypocritical to believe the Pennsylvania Game Commission isn’t political

Like it or not, politics is firmly entrenched in the operation of the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
The argument that legislators should have no say in how the Game Commission functions is admirable, but not realistic. In fact, recent actions by the agency itself have reaffirmed that politics is one of the most significant factors in many of the decisions made by the commission board.
