The lake also holds healthy numbers of black and white crappies, a few bluegills and pike, some respectable perch, and plenty of channel catfish. In short, it’s a fine multi-species fishery.

Success has come mainly at night for walleyes and crappies, with oddly-timed feeding windows happening in the middle of the night.

While there is a tendency for fishermen here to want to set up close to shore, this angler has been plopping houses in the middle of the lake and finding fish in deeper water.
