Midwinter waterfowl surveys reflect the weather in North and South Dakota

The survey of waterfowl numbers in North Dakota and South Dakota earlier this month confirmed what many hunters already suspected: winter storms featuring substantial snowfall and extremely low temperatures drove most ducks and geese out of the two states.
