At least three Pennsylvania Fish & Boat commissioners think that catch-and-release, artificial-lures-only regulations would be best for 3,000 miles of the state’s best streams.

By now the trout stocking trucks and choppers should have made their runs and usually when the black flies are biting, so are the trout.

Walleyes were reportedly biting in Pymatuning and Shenango reservoirs, and lakes Kahle, Arthur, Beltzville, Blue Marsh, Frances Slocum, Glendale and Gordon.
