Saugeyes are the only species that are stocked in this unlimited horsepower lake.

When targeting saugeyes in fall and winter, most angling attention is focused on Cabin Bay and the dam area.

Many anglers pursue crappies at the lake.

What it lacks in size, it makes up for in appearence and some pretty decent trout fishing.

Anglers typically concentrate much of their effort on largemouth bass, which the 105-acre Harrison has in relative abundance.

Crappies in the 13-14 1⁄2-inch range have been harvested from Madison Lake.

It offers a decent population of largemouth bass and panfish, and it is stocked every other year with channel catfish.

The big draw, however, is the trout fishing in the spring.

The lake is known for several species of fish among local anglers, but channel cats are probably tops. There are big ones and lots of them, along with a scattering of flatheads that might reach
