Many of the lake’s fish get flushed into the spillway, which can be a bonanza for anglers.

Mogadore has long been known for its redear sunfish and bluegill populations and that reputation continues today.

The good bite for saugeyes – the only species that is stocked here – usually runs from October to April at this 1,277-acre body of water south of Columbus.

It’s reportedly not too uncommon to see 5-pound-plus bass come out of Clear Fork.

Bass and saugeye are the species that most anglers are targeting.

Bluegills are small and numerous.

And below the dam at Berlin is an excellent tailwater fishery for smallmouth, walleyes, and catfish.
