The stages are nearly set for the 2026 Pheasant Fest and Quail Classic at the Minneapolis Convention Center, Friday through Sunday, Feb. 20-22. Among them are the Bird Dog Stage, the Path to the Uplands Stage, the Habitat Stage, the Main Stage, and the Public Lands Pavilion.

Mule Deer Foundation opposes cull on California’s Catalina Island

The Mule Deer Foundation released a statement regarding legislation passed to eliminate mule deer from California’s Catalina Island.
MDF President/CEO Greg Sheehan said the group is aware that mule deer were introduced to Catalina Island in the 1920s and are not native, but the group believes their presence has made them a valued part of the landscape.

Wisconsin Mixed Bag: Voices for Conservation in Wisconsin History coming to UW-Stevens Point starting Feb. 19

The Wisconsin Center for Wildlife’s annual spring conservation seminar series returns to UW-Stevens Point beginning Thursday, Feb. 19 with a presentation by Matt Blessing on John Muir.
Four more seminars will follow, all on Thursday nights beginning at 5 p.m. in Room 170 of the Trainer Natural Resources Building on the UW-Stevens Point campus.
