The body of a 55-year-old fisherman was pulled from an Ohio lake in mid-July.
According to Cleveland 19 News, Michael Ocepek’s body was retrieved from the Portage Lakes on July 15, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner. Ocepek was from Copley in northeast Ohio.

The Ohio DNR (ODNR) Division of Wildlife encourages the public to report sightings of wild turkeys and ruffed grouse this summer as part of its annual population surveys. Anyone can submit observations on the Wildlife Reporting System webpage at wildohio.gov or on the HuntFish OH mobile app.

The Natural Resources Board (NRB) will convene for a special virtual meeting at 8 a.m. Thursday, July 23, to act on a request from the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) on an emergency rule related to wolf depredation claims. The DNR is asking the NRB to approve a scope statement for an emergency rule approval that would first allow the DNR to set a public hearing and comment period.
The Minnesota DNR has confirmed the presence of zebra mussels in Manuel Mine Lake, near Crosby, and Perch Lake, near Baxter, both in Crow Wing County.
