A last-minute fundraising effort by Michigan waterfowl hunters and conservation groups will help preserve hunter access at four state-managed waterfowl areas this fall.
Waterfowl hunting advocates have raised $80,000 to provide temporary staffing at four Michigan DNR-managed properties after the agency announced that budget constraints would force it to reduce daily hunting opportunities during the state’s 2026 waterfowl seasons.
