Mid-may is prime-time for steelhead along Minnesota’s North Shore

As the calendar hits mid-May you don’t have to be told that thousands of Minnesota anglers’ focus is on walleyes. But the entire month also offers prime-time, top-notch fly fishing for migrating steelhead along Minnesota’s scenic North Shore of Lake Superior, and that pattern has played out yet again in 2026.
