Archers take pair of 500-pound central Wisconsin bears

Two Wisconsin bowhunters scored on trophy central Wisconsin black bears to kick off the 2025 season, both in the 500-pound live weight range and in the mid-400 pounds field dressed.
One of the bears came from Marathon County, while the other was shot in Wood County. Jesse Call, of Athens, has been bear hunting since 2017, all in Zone C.
