Is another record tom harvest in the cards for Minnesota this spring?

When Minnesota’s spring turkey season begins on April 16, hunters should expect much of what they experienced a year ago – good bird numbers, unpredictable turkey behavior, and similarly unpredictable spring weather, officials say.

Walleye netting season starts for Iowa DNR fish hatcheries

The late night, annual walleye collection has begun at Rathbun and Storm lakes and will begin in the next few days at East Okoboji and Spirit lakes. 
Crews with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources Fisheries Bureau set gillnets at night in traditional areas looking for walleyes that are ready to spawn.

Adult trout stocked in Michigan’s Clinton, Huron rivers

Approximately 4,250 adult trout were stocked recently by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources in the Huron River (Proud Lake Recreation Area, Oakland County) and Spring Mill Pond (Island Lake Recreation Area, Livingston County) in southeast Michigan. These fish are retired broodstock from Michigan’s state fish hatcheries.
