In Minnesota, ‘community science’ has big impact on conservation efforts

Here’s a resolution for 2025: more community science. All in favor, raise your hand … or wing, or fin, or whatever.
In case readers are not aware, community science (alternately, “citizen science”) happens when people with non-scientific backgrounds gather data that contributes to scientific understanding. Examples abound across disciplines, especially in the natural sciences. For outdoor enthusiasts, it means opportunities to contribute to the management of natural resources.
