Fishing success slow to fair across much of the state.

With fish in their fall patterns, the bite has been good at fisheries across the state.

In the most recent survey of the status of the fishery, DNR personnel captured 1,837 fish representing 20 species.

River fishing remains good with salmon and a few stray steelhead being caught.

On Lake Erie, yellow perch fishing picked up significantly this last week.

Real good reports of walleye bite on this popular river/fishery.

Anglers had success in this area with lake trout and some other trout and salmon during the last week.
