Walleye reports were better this week than last, but that’s likely due to better ice conditions to the north and more anglers getting out. It hasn’t been an all day/every day bite, but low-light periods

White crappies are a blast — and challenging — to target through the ice.

Everything has kind of slowed down as we’re in that in-between season. Just not enough ice, but it won’t be long. Best thing going on is steelhead fishing in a lot of the Great Lakes

Among the top destinations for ice anglers this winter is Devils Lake, where anglers reportedly will encounter average walleye numbers.

The ice is slow to take hold on most fisheries, but the crappie bite remains good.
