Due to a low abundance, the Wisconsin DNR has begun a stocking initiative and plans to stock about 9,280 large fingerling walleyes every other fall in even-numbered years.
This is the lowest Bone Lake muskie estimate since 1964, but is still considered a moderate density compared to other muskie lakes.
