Despite the calendar, the dog days of summer haven’t hit yet as plenty of fish are being caught in areas lakes and the Missouri River.

The bite continues to go well in most area lakes. Water temps are well into the 70s and the algae bloom has started in some lakes, so keep that in mind when deciding what bait

Plenty of nice walleyes continued to be caught this past week on area lakes and the Missouri River. Plenty of fishermen, though, have switched over to pulling crankbaits.

Fuzzy little ducklings are swimming behind their mothers around lakes and ponds, learning to feed themselves and evade predators.

The weather remains hot and the bite hasn’t cooled. Plenty of walleyes are being caught in area lakes, as well as the Missouri River. Presentations have changed, but that’s it.

Plenty of walleyes are being caught at the Missouri River and eastern South Dakota lakes. Presentations have switched over in most places to more summer-like due to the warmer water temperatures.

The fishing has just been like the summer-like temperatures – hot. A lot of nice walleyes have been caught recently using a variety of presentations.

The wind in many areas determined what presentation people had to use. But many area lakes and the Missouri River continue to have a very consistent bite.

The weather is heating up and so is the bite on area lakes, as well as the Missouri River. Larger fish are being caught on cranks on the river and jigs and swimbaits on the
