The walleye bite is starting to come around after last week’s heavy rainfall. It seems like the bigger fish are being caught snap-jigging, but other presentations are still producing some nice ‘eyes, too.

Plenty of rain fell across the area this past weekend and that definitely has impacted the bite. It may take a while before things start to recover.

The heat wave ended this weekend and that allowed a few more people to hit the water. Success was found, but it was also limited.

The dog days of summer have arrived. People are still catching fish, however, finding the aggressive fish by covering more water.

Summer presentations are definitely what has produced walleyes this past week. Water temps continued to rise so bottom-bouncing or trolling with crankbaits were the way to go.
