The bite has really started to take off this week with more spring-like weather. Definitely continues to be a jig-and-minnow bite on the Missouri River and area lakes.

Plenty of walleyes being caught now on the Missouri River and area lakes.

The bite has continued to be as unsettled as the weather lately. The Missouri River continued to have the most consistent bite, but a few area lakes have been showing signs of life lately, too.

The wind definitely has kept a lot of would-be anglers at home, but it has also taken the ice off of lakes.

The weather continues to be a thorn in every fisherman’s side, whether you’re wanting to still hit the ice or hoping for open water. So what to do between seasons?
