Opening Day takes on a variety of meanings for sportsmen, but one common denominator is the anticipation and optimism that comes with it, whether we’re talking deer, bear, trout, walleye or pheasants.
Or spring gobblers. By the time the regular spring turkey season arrives, my wife, Paula, and I are bubbling with excitement, even after decades of pursuing longbeards.
