Heat keeping a lot of folks away from the water, but those who get out have been finding some nice fish. Pulling a variation of plugs and bottom bouncers is working for walleyes.
As we enter the month of July and the hotter summer days, find out where anglers are having some walleye luck and what they’re using to grab their attention.
Same lakes that have been producing fish still doing the same as we head into late June. So which fisheries are offering up those walleyes? And what are the walleye guys using to catch them?

Lots of wind and thunderstorms across the region of late, making for some tough fishing. But those who were able to get out did have some luck.
The weather is starting to warm up, which means the bite should be following suit in the near future.
The fish are biting here in the Black Hills, but you might have to grind to catch some quality-sized fish.
In the Black Hills, mid-season ice fishing lull is here, but with a little effort and time you’ll still find some fish. Some lakes to consider and species to target.
