The fishing reports were mixed at best over the weekend, especially in the southeast portion of the state. But with water temps warming and a more stable weather pattern, the bite should steadily improve.
The weather was nice enough this past weekend to allow a few more people to hit the water. Despite that. the results were a little mixed.
It seems the most consistent bite was on the shores of the Missouri River. People throwing Berkley Hit Sticks and/or Rapala Floating Raps after sunset had some pretty good luck as the walleye spawn really
The Missouri River in and around Chamberlain continued to be be the most consistent bite and the shore bite should only get better with the spawn beginning.
A gorgeous weekend of weather allowed many people to hit the water for the first time this season. For the most part, success was a bit mixed.
Warmer days are ahead for the weekend and that should definitely turn on the bite across the area.
The weather continued to be less than spring-like this past week with snow, cold, and wind. But Mother Nature is starting to show signs of warming up.
