The continuation of a more stable weather pattern has definitely helped in turning on the bite on area lakes.

The Missouri River is better the further north you go, and the Platte/Pickstown areas are showing signs of improving.

Many walleyes are being caught in a number of post-spawn ways, including trolling with crankbaits and using jigs and swimbaits.

Mixed fishing success continued this past weekend. The walleye bite was definitely better on the Missouri River and on lakes in the northeast as opposed to in the southeast.

The fishing reports were mixed at best over the weekend, especially in the southeast portion of the state. But with water temps warming and a more stable weather pattern, the bite should steadily improve.

The weather was nice enough this past weekend to allow a few more people to hit the water. Despite that. the results were a little mixed.
