There are decent to good numbers of steelhead scattered in the creeks in this area, including lots of bigger fish.

Deer season continues in parts of the state, and ice anglers are watching the thermometer in hopes that their favorite waters will button up.

Dropping and slightly clearing flows are typically a good recipe for action so look for chances at fresh steelhead and a mix of browns moving up or post spawn fish dropping back here.

Browns are spread through the Oak and guys at the dam had good action recently.

Hunting seasons continue to take center stage, but fishing seasons too need to be noted. Black bass becomes catch-and-release in most of the state effective Dec. 1 and the Great Lakes have their own seasons

Rain should expand steelhead fishing opportunities here.

Fishing pressure not as intense as a few weeks ago and guys are spread out now on the Oak.

Seems like we are settling into the “second season” trib action now with the focus mostly on trout and an overall lessening of fishing pressure. And by most any measure the good fall action continues,
