Fishing has been fairly consistent from last week, although we targeted some shallower fish and changed tactics just a hair.

Bass fishing remains outstanding, both for smallies and largemouths.

Leech supply drying up so anglers turn to crawlers or minnows for ‘eyes.

On the south end, lots of limits of walleyes along with some big fish being caught.

This is going to be presentation heavy, focusing on the top five baits that are working right now.

It’s the time of year when you just don’t know what you’ll be catching. Here’s where anglers are fishing and what they’re using to find success.

Got your limit or want smaller water? Back bays such as Four Mile Bay, Zippel Bay and Bostic Bay holding pike, bass and even a few ‘eyes.

Continue to work weedlines for bluegills and crappies. They seem to be providing most of the state’s consistent opportunities.
