Steelhead fishing remains a good bet on most traditional steelhead streams up and down the Great Lakes.

Fishing still between seasons. Some Upper Peninsula lakes have frozen over, but then came the snow – and rain – so be careful out there.

Some of the smaller lakes in the Upper Peninsula are frozen over and anglers are sneaking out and catching panfish, walleyes, and pike.

It’s sort of the season between seasons. But there are still fish to be had.

Some anglers report they are catching good numbers of walleyes in places.

Fishing has been surprisingly good, especially river fishing for walleyes.

Walleye fishing remains very good in Saginaw Bay, the Detroit and St. Clair rivers, and Lake Erie.

Incredible fall walleye bite going on at the Detroit River, and it’s also good on Erie and several other fisheries.

The fishing – and bite – has continued to slow, but good walleye catches were reported in this prime fishery.
