Michigan DNR welcomes 12 new conservation officers

Lansing — One of the most selective law enforcement academies in the state, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Conservation Officer Academy, recently hosted graduation at the Michigan State Police Training Academy in Lansing, welcoming 11 men and one woman into the ranks of some of the most highly trained law enforcement professionals in Michigan.

DNR secures $5 million grant via America the Beautiful Challenge

The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation recently announced the recipients of the inaugural America the Beautiful Challenge, a $1 billion grant program launched in May to fund diverse, landscape-level conservation projects. Michigan has been awarded $5 million, to be administered by the state’s Department of Natural Resources.
