Construction is substantially complete on a new fishing pier and car-top boat launch at the southwest end of Skaneateles Lake.
The New York Department of Environmental Conservation has partnered with the City of Syracuse on the $330,000 project, which has been delayed for more than a decade due mainly to concerns about a bald eagle nest in a white pine tree across the road.
