This summer has featured some destructive storms in parts of the Upper Midwest.
Eric Morken has bowhunted a river-bottom system for whitetails for seven years and spends a weekend scouting out there in August each year. This past weekend on that annual scouting/camping trip, he quickly realized a storm that came through in June had completely altered most of his favorite locations from prior years.
In this video below, Morken details how he spent two days adjusting to make sure he’s ready for the 2025 season that starts in a couple weeks. He also shows an area that he found last November that was littered with deer sign and how he plans to hunt it this fall.
