Spring Garden Dam removal at Tyler State Park starts

Work began in mid-September to remove the Spring Garden Dam on Neshaminy Creek inside Tyler State Park, Bucks County, Pa. Demolition of the 9-foot-tall dam was expected to last three to four weeks.
The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and the Fish & Boat Commission are removing the dam to restore the natural flow of the creek, allow for better fish passage for species like American shad, and make transit more convenient and safer for paddlers.
