Turkey hunters registered 47,704 Badger State birds during the 2026 spring season, which ended May 26.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources released preliminary harvest numbers that will likely increase once all data is finalized. Taylor Finger, DNR game bird ecologist, said that the preliminary total is down from the 50,291 birds harvested last year, but is 8.6% above the five-year average of 43,953.
