Northwestern Ohio, like other parts of the state, was in a severe drought that began last summer and fall, so the barrage of storms that passed through the region during the end of March and beginning of April were welcomed by local farmers.
However, multiple inches of rain that accumulated across northern Ohio washed away any hope for anglers planning to fish the river walleye runs.
