After temperatures exceeded 70 degrees in northern Ohio, breaking records on a couple of days, walleye spawning runs in both the Sandusky and Maumee rivers got a boost.
Water temperatures that reached the 40s coupled with higher flows invited fish to ascend the river to complete their spawning rites.
