How has a one-buck limit impacted the deer herd on Michigan’s Drummond Island?

Perceptions that a one-buck bag limit would improve deer hunting in Michigan are being challenged by an example of the regulation in Drummond Island.
A one-buck limit has been in effect on the 125-square mile island at the eastern end of the Upper Peninsula since 2017. Antler point restrictions are in effect for deer hunters on the island, too. Bucks must have at least three points on one antler to be legal for hunters to shoot there.

Pennsylvania’s schedule for doe tag sales to change

Antlerless license sales presently follow a set schedule determined by the calendar.
First-round sales for residents begin on the fourth Monday in June; non-residents can first purchase licenses on the second Monday in July. Rounds two, three and four sales for all hunters begin the fourth Monday in July, the second Monday in August and the fourth Monday in August, respectively.
