What can Minnesota trappers expect with bobcat, marten, fisher seasons soon to begin?

In what Bert Highland, Minnesota Trappers Association vice president, describes as the heart of pine marten territory around Brimson, he anticipates a decent trapping season ahead.
The pine marten-trapping season, along with that for fishers and bobcats, begins Dec. 13 in Minnesota’s northern furbearer zone; they begin Jan. 6 in the southern furbearer zone, pine martens not included.
