Austin farmer Tom Cotter receives this year’s Minnesota Leopold Conservation Award

Tom Cotter of Austin is the recipient of the 2025 Minnesota Leopold Conservation Award. 
The award honors farmers, ranchers, and forestland owners who go above and beyond in their management of soil health, water quality and wildlife habitat on working land. Cotter, who owns and operates Cotter Farms, was presented with the $10,000 award at the Premier Soil Health Event in Mankato.
