Hunters across New York continue to have a multitude of opportunities for both big and small game, and as October morphs into November that will only accelerate. Trapping seasons, too, are just getting under way in parts of the state.
Following the state’s annual youth hunting weekend, which took place Oct. 11-13, deer season intensified in the Northern Zone as the early muzzleloading season is taking place Oct. 18-24, followed on Oct. 25 by the Northern Zone regular season opener, which runs through Dec. 7.
