All four hunters who drew a once-in-a-lifetime elk tag in the Black River Falls zone of central Wisconsin were successful.
Two of them, Dryden Watry, of Green Lake, and Daniel “D.J.” Jolliffe, of Wisconsin Rapids, were among the 7,750 applicants for that zone, but they followed different paths to Jackson County elk-hunting success – one hunting private land, the other public land.
