I hated the ladder stand the minute I climbed into it. It’s a double-wide, two-person stand that’s on a single tree. The bottom line: I was uncomfortable because I looked like a human billboard.
And then it happened. A huge doe stepped out of the poplars at 225 yards and busted me right away. She looked left and started toward me from at least two football fields away.
