Central Minnesota gains new public-land parcel in Stearns County

A 250-acre Stearns County, Minn., project undertaken by a multitude of groups and government organizations will offer various opportunities for public use, ranging from hunting to camping to fishing and more. (Stock photo)

Outdoor enthusiasts in the central part of Minnesota will have a unique piece of public property to use in the not-too-distant future. What began as discussions two years ago is now on a fast track to reality.
As part of its partnership approach to permanent land protection across Minnesota, Pheasants Forever recently announced development plans for a 249-acre area of public use south of the city of Cold Spring in Stearns County.
