A few days before the April 22-23 youth turkey hunting weekend, I headed for the hunting location in Washington County to put up a tent blind and do some quick scouting. It didn’t take long to find what I was looking for as I spotted three mature gobblers on the property. Between that sighting, and reports from the farmer who owns the property, I was confident my 13-year-old mentee, Josh Stone, of Hartford, might see some action.
