Wisconsin’s 2022 deer harvest was up at least 8.8% from 2021, according to preliminary numbers released in mid-February by the Department of Natural Resources.

Wisconsin hunters may soon see a switch from managing deer by county units with no population goals to using numbered units bounded by areas of similar habitat that would have population goals.
