Julie Anderson, of Sturtevant, and Dr. Frederick Prehn, of Wausau, were named by Gov. Scott Walker to replace Christine Thomas and Jane Wiley on the seven-member Natural Resources Board (NRB).
Anderson is the director of the Racine County Public Works and Development Services Department. Prehn is a dentist in Wausau. Anderson is a UW-Milwaukee graduate and has worked for Racine County since she left college – more than 20 years. Prehn is a Wausau native. He graduated from UW-Madison in 1978 and Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1982. He is active with the Samoset Counncil – Boy Scouts of America and operates a 115-acre cranberry marsh near Tomah.
This month's NRB started Tuesday afternoon, May 26 and continues Wednesday, May 27 at 8:30 a.m. at the DNR headquarters in Madison.
