DNR investigating white bass die-off at Lake Shelbyville, Illinois

DNR's Division of Fisheries reported today that it is investigating the cause of a die-off of white bass at Lake Shelbyville. Biologists are calling the die-off "minor."

Of note is that the biologists says that the incident is suspected to be "disease-related specific to white bass," since other species of fish have not been affected.  Several samples of white bass from Lake Shelbyville have been sent to the U.S. Geological Survey lab in La Crosse, Wisc. for analysis.

Stay tuned for updates.
