As we move closer to fall, fish tend to come to more shallow waters, making this time of year a good one for dock or shore fishing.

The fun part is you never know what you’re going to catch on these mid-lake structures. It could be a bass, walleye, pike, or even a big bluegill.

Trolling with spinners and plugs seem to be working the best – expect the jigging bite to increase as the fish start to prepare for fall and winter.

Walleyes are in excellent condition in Pittsfield and are also often caught trolling over the deep water off slopes.
