“Nice bass have been taken from both reservoirs.”

Opportunities abound for hardcore anglers willing to brave low temperatures to chase various species on the Great Lakes and in Great Lakes tributaries.

Yellow perch anglers are in luck on the Western Basin of Lake Erie as the size and quantity of fish is at a good level right now.

Over the years, Pymatuning has produced more Fish Ohio yellow perch and walleyes than any other inland lake in the state, the Division of Wildlife has reported.

Vertically jigging blades producing nice saugeyes.

Fishing in the Buckeye State is about as good as it gets right now for saugeyes, walleyes, muskies, and more.

The fall transition period for fishing is in full swing with water temperatures dropping accordingly. Inland anglers are catching saugeyes, crappies, and smallmouth bass in good numbers.

A 10-pound, 4-ounce saugeye, which held the state record for a period, was caught here in 1989.

Fall temperatures have settled in on the Buckeye State and the saugeye and crappie fishing have been fantastic.
