The jig bite is hot and the walleyes are biting.

Don’t be afraid to bounce around on the lake if you’re having trouble finding fish. Because once we found a spot, it was game on.

These are easy to use and flat-out catch fish. In fact, all three will stay in my lineup throughout much of the open-water season.

Rain and snow? No matter, multi-species fishing – particularly for crappies – going strong. And walleye bite has been, well, OK.

Start with minnows or leeches. When the first walleye hits the net, it’s time to switch to the jig and crawler.
