As quickly as flows were restored in the Oak over the past weekend the fishing likewise perked up again with some steelhead hooked and a few kings.

Quite a few nice fish were caught this past week ahead of the storm.

Most fishing is taking place in 25 to 32 feet of water. As is common this time of year, fish are moving deeper.

The ice is shaping up pretty well in the Grand Rapids area. Most of the slush pockets are freezing up and travel has been better. The crappies have been biting pretty well.

Anglers are finding some nice walleyes and good numbers of perch on Devils Lake.
